I'm registered with the tax office as self employed etc, but do I need to register as a company? I see company numbers on invoices from other people etc and looked online and see you can register your companies details, but what's the point in doing this?

They're probably Ltd companies?

Or VAT registered...

only ltd company's need to register so don't worry
-
Ahh cool, wasn't sure if I needed to, not vat registers or ltd so all good. Thamks

There might be tax advantages in being a Limited Company - speak to your accountant.
We're not VAT registered but we are Ltd. Saves us a significant amount of tax.

Yeah i've been told that becoming ltd has its advantage's but your accountants bill goes up also.

When the cost of the accountant is outweighed by the savings +10% I reckon that is the time to go ltd.
