Has a custy come up to me today whilst cleaning asking me to add her to my round.
After a bit of small talk she said she called a windy last week for a quote after seeing an advert claiming he was a ladderless window cleaner.
She was quizzed about her property, she explained to him she had a semi detached 3 bed house, he said "Sorry, I only do bungalows!"
I almost fell off my pole ;D

He wasnt exactly lieing when he said he didnt use ladders....
But the funniest thing is you nearly fell off your pole ;D class!!

There's a window cleaner who just does bungalows near me, I think that's just the HEIGHT of laziness ;)

Havent had a ladder for 20 years! Trad pole then wfp.thats ladderless!

There's a window cleaner in an area of bungalows not far from here who only does bungalows. He has a bucket, applicator, squeegee, a few cloths and a 7' pointer and that's it, no car or van or wfp or anything else and he walks from job to job.
When he does a £10, £15 or £20 job or what ever price, it's 100% profit and his overheads are a few cloths and bits maybe once a year.
He's been window cleaning for about 30+ years and has quite a substantial round all in one area. In some ways I envy him as his life working is so simple and uncomplicated.

I did actually say to the bloke I was talking about that if he ever wants to retire, as he's well into his 60's, that I'll buy his round off him. He said he'll carry on till he drops dead or cannot physically do the job anymore and going by how healthy he looks, I'll probably be an old man as well.

90% of the time though the trad guys who have done it for so long are charging £3.00 on jobs that i would charge £10.00.... So really we have the easy end of the deal.

a windy near me charges £6 for small bungalows which is quite good up here in west yorkshire ive .watched him do them he is quite quick

I know of a window cleaner who only does shops and bungalows. He fell off a ladder about 9 years ago, the injuries he sustained anyone should do the same as him. He's a highly successful character though. Owns a number of properties in the UK and abroad simply as a result of window cleaning and franchises.
Don't knock it, if you know what you're doing you can make a success of anything.

u have got it wrong ,its newbies that under price jobs
