Title: How to clean the insides on this?
Post by: H20cleaning on May 22, 2014, 12:59:34 pm
I have been asked to quote this for outside 4x a year and also insides once a year.
How can you clean 3 story insides? What bit of kit would i need? And how do you charge it.

Not as hard as you'd think by the look of it.
2 of you, out of hours, long ladder for insides.
No sweat.
4 or 5 hours I reckon.

Or wagtail it it you're proficient.

Before anyone suggests-'DragonFly' et al... No chance, once a year will 100% need wet cleaning.

Theres just me on my own, as for climbing ladders there is table and chairs all around the inside of the building so i very much doubt i would be able to?

I really dont like doing insides at the best of times but i want to for this building because they have other window cleaners who do the full building so i could end up with that.

Thanks Adam

Buddy up with someone, mate.
It's always good to have people you can call on.
He wouldn't need to clean, just foot the ladder and be there in case of accidents.
It'd be best out of hours, so shift the tables etc. get there for closing time.
Price high, take your time.
Explain to the people there why you wouldn't use the dragonfly.
Someone else may come in, massively underprice you thinking it can be dragonflied.
They will pick you if they want it doing properly, them if they want to tick the 'window cleaning' box on a list of jobs for the year.
Go on quality, not price.
There will always be someone who can do it a few quid cheaper than you.
You want the reputation of 'good' rather than 'cheap'

3 x 2mtr ext pole take off end cap and insert an aluminum mop one with with velcro strips, clean with damp waffle glass cloths then polish off with dry waffle glass cloths, no spills no mess and no ladders, wfp the outsides, oxo job done.

Hi PoleKing cleaning interior windows is no problem for waffle glass cloths as they are very effective for this, even for annual cleans, i don't understand why so many guys have such hang ups about cleaning internals as they are so easy to do. to the pictures i am nearly there got to get them put together as there are many of them will post them very soon, regards Tadgh

I have no problem doing internals at all. I'm not a pup.
But an annual clean, perhaps longer for this first one, there is no chance clothing (waffle or otherwise) would provide a satisfactory result. Absolutely none, whilst being economical.
Perhaps 2 or 3 cloths per pane and a buffer cloth but that's much more faff that just blading.  Which would leave a superior finish and less faff.
Keep us posted on the TFR.

I know what this is

And I clean them

You cannot clean it without using a ladder!

Dust and Grease do not mix well
