Hi I recently purchest a new pressure washing set up it is a honda 13 hp 21 ltr a minute from omnipole it was fine up until recently on tick over the honda engine sounds great but when using the turbo nozzle with the revs turned right up it starts to really struggle and try's to stall this happens with the flow turned down and on full also some times when using the Fsc it stalls when I stop pulling the trigger has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be??? Pulling in air in the in-let stage/hose etc maybe , How is this all connected up?
-
All quick release on machine to 30 mtr hose then quick release to lances

Give Omnipole a call and explain to them what is going on.
What happens with a flat nozzle attached?
Does this not sound more of an engine, fuel issue. If it is a new purchase I am surprised that a Honda engine will be giving you grief already.
Blockage in the fuel tank or line, fuel filter - check there are no restrictions.
If there was air getting into the pump it would splutter and surge - that shouldn't cut the engine out.

Normal variable lance was working better and I finished the job off and it was fine all morning on a different job using the turbo nozzle and Fsc then went to next job fine on front of property went round the back then started messing about omnipole told me to check oil when cold I did this last night and it was down a couple of mm so topped that up the only other thing that happened was the water feed was very slow going into my bin and I ran it dry a couple of times could this effect it?

How long did you let the pump run dry for?

Seconds as hose was running but hose pressure wasn't brilliant and not filling real quick

Unloader.

Check that the choke lever is fully off, as this could be one issue, if thats ok, then try just a little choke when the machine is running if all seems to work ok, then for some reason the machine is running lean so a carb adjust might be needed. Is this only when the machine is hot? as in been running a while?

Hi Roger yes it's always fine from cold I always start it with no choke as it doesn't seam to need it

I had a problem with my honda, about a year ago, fine starting from cold, but once hot wouldn't re-start unless I gave it a bit of choke just to start it, then get the coke off straight away, then the machine is fine, seems some newer carbs seem to run a bit lean, when hot for some reason?

Thanks roger I will give it a try

Problem solved too much oil in machine!!!! And turbo nozzle was blocked slightly once cleared and oil sucked out now as good as new:-)
