Title: Clx extensions advice please
Post by: colin bird on May 14, 2014, 05:54:18 pm
I currently use a clx 22 for most daily work, every now and again,it's a bit short.

What's the way to go with extensions ? I know this May sound stupid,if you remove the base cap to fit extension, won't this then keep falling off when refitted ?
Thanks in advance

Nope i will not! You will have trouble getting it off. I use PTFE spray on the end of the pole so I can keep taking the cap off

After some experimenting, I found that the best way for me was a CLX 27 and a CLX 18. The 18 does most of my work and is quite a bit lighter.

yes I can see where your coming from and that makes sense, but I've just replaced my 22 pole so don't want to make it redundant this soon.

Best to get 2 extensions then you wont have to remove the end cap.
Get the 27 end section with cap plus the next section which will be the same as your end section.
This will be a lot handier and quicker than having to remove caps every time you need a 27 footer
