Title: Best Poles These days
Post by: The Jester of Wibbly on May 14, 2014, 04:09:34 pm
It's that time again, I need to review my poles.  Have used my set for a few years now, but looking to see what is out there.

Probably look at a 25-30ft pole and a 40-45ft pole.

Any recommendations ?

Price is important, but not looking to cut corners either.

Having been a little wary of the SLX claims and having used the clx, took the plunge and would never go back. Use a S-Max 45 c and is a good pole, mind you anything Gardiners is good ;)

Thanks

SLX 2 it is then for my small pole.

S Max and Extreme look good, S Max better price.  However I cannot see the on the site the weight of the Extreme 47"

Any clues?

The weights of all of our poles are here on this chart - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/clx-slx-super-max-telescopic-poles.html

Also on the Xtreme47 product page there is a 2nd image which is a pole chart if you click on this it will enlarge and provides the weights of the Xtreme range.

I just got a 30 ft scooter pole from omnipole which is same weight as gardiner equivalent and is 100% carbon. Cost me £225 delivered brand new from omnipole shop on ebay. It was a few weeks ago but they retail for over £300. Have the gardiner equivalent and for the money there's really no discernible differences.
