Title: HELP, LARGE OFFICE QUOTE

I have read lots of topics asking about how to quote and after doing a search I can't find any question that has been asked on large square feet.

Have an appointment on Wednesday to look at new offices. There are 2 floors covering 17,000 feet. No toilets, 2 kitchen areas and I think it will be a call centre.

This is the first time we have had such a large quote request and we would really like to impress.

I would really appreciate someone to give me advice on an approximate ball park figure and anything else that would help.

Really important to find out how many desks are going in there. I have personally seen one extreme to the other! Another thing to look at is if it will be a call centre, will it be a 24/7 operation. Will you be collecting cups, will there be dishwashers etc etc. Whole load of new challenges if this is the case. Your quote will need to be comprehensive and be presented well. DONT EMAIL it, spend some time on printing the quote on good quality paper. Use dividers in a file and include all the info in a contents paged, easy to follow proposal. Include an example of your RAMS but not the full set and example COSHH data. Take the quote in and ask for a few minutes to go through it.

I agree with tim. We have won loads of office cleaning contracts based upon our quotation presentation. Lots of companies just either send an email with the price or post a piece of paper with the price on it. We put together a package so to speak. Includes info on our company, company references, quotation with full price breakdown, coshh data, h & S info etc all put together in a smart looking presentation folder. Clients love it.

Seen the client today but he is under pressure and hasn't the time to see me again until a decision has been made! And the spec is
5 days per week
Opened 8 to 6
120 to 140 desks
No cup collecting or washing up

It's an expanding company and partly relocating so no TUPE involved.

I'm looking at quoting just under 2K pm, is there anyone out there that could help me further with this, pretty please? :-\
