Not really. Poles are changing all the time. It's not a fixed point of reference. Other poles are available now that weren't last year.
-
ok,
how do the sections compare ,r the facelift thinner lighter?
-
Its quite a pro facelift forum mate so i dont think you'll get a fair opinion mate, gardiner do make the odd good poles as well ;D
-
Not sure the thickness is particularly different to be honest. Neither pole feels flimsy. The clamps on the Gardiner poles divide opinion on here but in my opinion they will increase the useable life of the pole. More movement in the clamp = longer life.

From what I have read on various forums and Facebook the poles are good and people love the clamps, but they do wear out very quickly, in some cases the clamps are completely worn out and sections spin in under a year if use

Lee, I think you have a short memory, spinning pole sections has been the norm for some pole manufactures for years and amazingly their customers have put up with it.
Any early Phoenix customers with issues have been replaced with updated clamps and are now operating like new with the fastest and easiest to use pole out there. ;D
-
What is the update clamp? As this might help my brother, cheers

I dont think spinning pole sections after 7-8 months is the norm though!! My previous pole lasted at least 18 months before spinning!!

Stephen is right though. Xtel poles were worse than Gardiner's but the clamps never lasted long. Gardiner's do seem to have addressed it though.
