I know its been probably asked before, so go easy with me, i have a house & conny to clean inside/outside
next week, ive done a few connys but never cleaned an inside glass roof before, i would have to use a step
ladder to reach it above my head, is the best way with damp & dry microfibre cloths or do you guys have other
better ways of cleaning them, any advice appreciated.
Best Regards

+1 .......... every time ... put off doing them for 3 years but turned out to be quite easy actually ......... don't do it on a hot sunny day though !!
-
use a pump up sprayer and lance to mist the glass, a dry applicator and squeegee on a pole. usually no need for a step ladder ;)
-
Me and a few others on here use the Karcher window vac for this - less messy for me
-
any advice appreciated.

Don't do it! They are a nightmare...
If you do do it think of a price double it, triple it and then add £50 !

Telescopic handle with 12" aluminium flat mop frame, a few little waffle glass cloths, use them damp to clean and dry to polish off for a streak free finish, no step ladder required, no spills, splashes, couldn't be easier.

Surely a flat mop frame on a pole couldn't get into the tight end of the triangle shaped glass roof panels?
I use the Vikan Easy shine on interior plastic roofs that are not as critical, but a glass roof would definitely require mop and squeegee in my opinion.

Hi andy, yes that's right the frame wont go into tight spaces you can put a damp cloth over the plastic handle and clean the tight spaces then take off the damp cloth put a dry one over the plastic handle to dry off as they say focus on the solution not the problem.

Don't forget a dust sheet. No matter how careful you are, you'll always get that one drip.

Or just say "sorry I don't do them".

you could say that but if doing a conny roof clean on a sat morning (that's when I do them for non customers) it turns £120 into £200 for about 1 hours extra work :)

Hi Andy, i would love to walk away from it, but this customer is a friend of my wife, so i'm scuppered, i dont do
friends special price's, i quoted her a price that was high enough for the work involved, she was very happy
with the quote, said she would do me lunch on the day as she new it was a good afternoons work.
