Thinking of adding a page to my website that customers use to sign up to go cardless but then how do I know that they have signed up ............ guessing go cardless send me an email saying Mrs Jones of 21 Letsbeavinyou Ave has signed up ?
Is there another way that you chaps use to sign the customer up to go cardless ?

GoCardless send an email. Mrs X has signed up. The only other info you get is their email address. Something gocardless need to sort in my opinion.
However, I am hoping to get some way of getting the information, through the website before they start filling in the gocardless bit. That's beyond my capabilities though...
Your other option is to instigate each sign up yourself, you send an email with a link. Obviously you will need to have their email address to do that.

thanks ........... yup around here I have 50+ mrs jones so address is defo required ... good idea ref info from website before they fill in go cardless bit

I agree that GoCardless should give more details of the person who has signed up - some people's email addresses have nothing to do with their name so who do you know who it is? They should let you know the persons postcode I think.

Yes would be good to have an address, BUT we do regulary update contact info, including full names and email, and often can match up this way seems to work well 99.9% of the time, I have only ever had one or two where I needed the address for verification, of which GC where able to supply very quickly when asked. Did you know for those that use software to run their business, that GC is integrated with Cleaner Planner? We have lots on GC and this one feature alone is worth the money for the time it saves me when claiming payment, two clicks no typing - job done x

Got a new sign up this morning, went to try and work out the reference and shock horror it was already there!! The customer must have added it on sign up! Fantabulous.
Not sure if gocardless have added this option or not? Must have I suppose.

thats good news, I went to their support page and mentioned that customers need to add a address and WE need to be able to see it.
they replied today saying they would pass it to their developers.

Now that Gocardless have an ad on here hopefully they will participate in some of the posts in relation to Gocardless discussions , Which will help us windys and benefit their business and all of ours . Mike
