Title: First big commercial job to price
Post by: H20cleaning on May 04, 2014, 02:15:33 pm
I am arranging a quotation for a rather large college near to me and just want a few tips when pricing big jobs?
Its my first ever quote of a building anywere near this size! Luckily its only 3 story though so no big reaches.

Break it down into areas, take your time and make sure you know what the customer wants done in/out etc..

Price by time ie how long it will take to do, bear in mind many schools and colleges only get cleaned yearly and the frames can often be in disrepair.

You should make a reasonable rate, don't expect a killing because there are always others willing to throw in a stupidly low quote, try to sell your quality service and local connections, but ultimately they are after the cheapest price

Hi mate, you're more than likely to be one of three quotes, we always provide training records and references, copies of insurance as part of the quotation, makes you look more professional and can swing it in your favour sometimes

Thanks a lot, my uncle works there and they wanted my number straight away so fingers crossed i will be their only quote ::)roll
I'm not expecting to make a lot of money from it, but photos of buildings like that on a website(when i get one done) will be priceless
