I got a fog wash, haven't used it since winter 2012, I would say its not needed but it feels nice on a cold day.

Winter of 2010.

Other window cleaners in my area had nearly a solid 6 weeks off.

I managed to get a couple of days in each week and ticked over nicely. I would say if you don't want to potentially have weeks off in the winter then it's a necessity.

colin in my experience hot water is not needed but despite some pressure/hose problems last winter ill be installing mine again come the winter months.probably oct till march.

hot hoses are easier to manage on cold days and add a bit of comfort in winter.keeps the back of the van warm and windows dry a bit quicker and rinse better.

of course the warm hose keeps your hands warm as well!! ;) ;D

i use an L5 gas heater and 13kg gas bottle.costs me around £50-£55 a month used every day through the winter months. :)

Hi Colin, you're probably better of just fitting an immersion heater element straight into your tank. There's some good threads about it on here. That's how I came to fit mine. It cost me under £100 for all the bits but it has been worth it. I just plug it in for a few hours on a timer in the early hours, then I'm set for the day. Use it when I feel like it. Cheaper than the lpg set up but they can heat water instantly and much hotter than an immersion set-up.
