Why? If he's just starting-that's when it's easy.
Diary. Excel. Memory. They're all easy and free.

tell him to trial george.im sure he ll find £50 and the £12 internet back up fee after a few months.

this is all you need for a sole trader business IMO.

dead easy to use and cheap.

you can email invoices as well if you need to.

I've worked with Roundtracker (£37) for 5 years. Unbeatable for the sole trader IMHO.

I don't understand Ben.
A diary? You must know what that is...
Memory? When you keep all your customers details in your head. Not phone numbers etc obviously but how much they owe you. (2 lads I knew did their whole round from memory)
And excel-it's a spreadsheet programme on windows. (It's 'number on Mac(which soupy has-he loves apple kit))

Lol, love the reply about a diary, and keeping the round in your head. I actually did that for a few years. Very recently, though, I finally finished my website which has a database attached to it. I wrote it so it will schedule all my work, etc, and also let the customer log in and see their details and pay their bill online. My missus can stop nagging me about sitting at the computer all night now ;)
