Title: what would you charge
Post by: lee_dewing on April 29, 2014, 08:15:28 pm
how much would you guys charge to clean this monthly and bi-monthly?

sorry no pic for back of property but has conservatory.

I priced £45 monthly £60 bi-monthly.

First clean took 2 hours so maybe should have charged £60 for that but custie said they want monthly.

But the big house brigade can be a funny bunch :D

Cost £6,250 a month to rent last year not sure if custie's are buying it, has entry gates now not in pic and some work is being done.

Just curuios to see prices from you guys.

Prices actually seem ok.  It's hard to tell from
Pictures but doesn't actually look like a lot of glass
To me. But going on the size I would have said £40 -£60

Cliff, No didn't do connie roof.

8 weekly maybe you could do front in 35 minutes but just as many windows round the back with connie.

I think anything less than hour an 20 mins is splash and dash but maybe i am edward slow hands ;D

seems a fair price tbh

with conny rfoof id add another 40 at least though

dont matter about price though mate, its if your happy to do it at the price you quoted,if your not tell them before the 2nd clean you made a mistake and it needs to go up by x amount.

ive put prices up before on 2nd cleans just by saying it took longer than i estimated.

Thanks everyone i don't seen to far out on pricing.

I'm sure on next clean it will be 1.5 hours tops.

I am not bothered if they went bi-monthly for £60 tbh.

Hear what your saying Cliff have done that before.

Just hear some big talk on here at times and wonder if my pricing is out of whack :-\

But I try to price on time and not what car my custie has ;D

No way the front would take 35 mins bud. Going on the pics in and out of job about 1hr 15 easy

The front is 25 mins IMO. I'd imagine anything on the sides and back will be just as much, but if there's a conservatory to contend with then we've got over cons. windows plus the structure. That job is def £60 and over an hours work.

40 monthly

IMO thats  an hours work so £50 monthly,£60 bi monthly.

once the first cleans out of the way should be easy even with a conservatory.

still gotta drive there and drive to next job.good jobs to have esp if you have a days work of them with 5 min drive between jobs ;) :)

£50 6 weekly clean..i clean something similar takes about a  hour
and fifteen mins

i use backpack and barrels,on a stand alone job like this with
a van mount it would take a hour maybe less

id be gutted to only earn £45 for 90 mins work on these types of houses.its just not enough money for me.then you have to drive to your next job.

so you could end up losing another 15 mins driving to and from the job so you only earn £45 for nearly 2 hours of your time!then you probably have to text them the night before, gate code needed and wait to be paid online probably.

i would get that job done in 50 mins on maintenance cleans.nice high flow.rinsing on the glass.5 mins there,5 mins to next job.so £50 or £60 an hour INCLUDING drive time.

even sticking to these schedules i can lose a bit of time bringing my hourly rate down to £40-£45 an hour but im happy with that on bigger stand alone houses.

i would say lee you are slow if it takes you 90 mins to clean that on regular cleans.your probably over rinsing or use a lower flow at brush end.

Lee I wouldn't do that !!! I'm not really into houses mostly commercial. I still do them few big houses in Loughton but wouldn't take anymore on as I don't like doing them. I gave up some and had a few peeps enquire about there houses but turned them down. You should pass on your number Lee and ill pass any new ones onto you. Ill carry on doing the few there as I know the people and been doing there windows for 27 years.
👍👍👍

Danny mack.
Was joking.  ;D
Thanks will pass on my number couldn't do your early starts. :o
If this custie wanted fascia boards cleaned at some point Danny would you be interested ?
As I'm not setup for that top floor looks 50 feet at back for fascia boards.

Daz yep have turned up water flow last couple of days.
Yep makes sense what you say with the travelling I have jobs under 10 mins drive away though but that's something to factor in.

I got a feeling they will go bi-monthly which would suit me better as priced £60 for that.
Thanks everyone.
