Welcome to the world of pressure washing :)
Was the drive heavy in weeds and moss?
-
I was using a Honda 21lpm from Britclean it was realy bad with weeds no moss didnt use any chems didnt need them supprised how good the whirlaway worked and it was just a standard hose i think. The folk who had the house before were asians and they laid the block paving them selves realy uneven and no drainage at all.

That comment could be considered a little sweeping and possibly inflammatory.
If I quote the comment and then reply to your post it will be on the internet forever.
It may be that it was meant as an innocent statement, that may need expanding but it doesn't read that way and is open to peoples interpretation, of backgrounds that you don't know, on a public forum.
It may be a timely reminder to all members that we have a great site, where we can have a laugh. joke along with each other and just be a bit daft every now and then but it is also a very public forum, that anyone can join and anyone can read.
I have been approached recently, by an established limited company that are members on here who have seen my forum presence and offered me works.
The things we say are out there for anyone to look at and form an opinion of the people that we are.
Newer members may not realise just how useful, a business tool Cleanitup is and that there is much more goes on behind the scenes and off the forum, through online rapport, jobs passed and that it is also a great platform for presenting your business, showing capabilities and getting yourself known by other established businesses.
I met with a forum member recently and they said that it was just childish comments and not good for their business. I told them to ignore the stupidity on here and form relationships with the right members, who could help their business develop.
I have formed an opinion of you because of the comment, you may not care but if I have then others will have as well

Interestingly Rob I am of the opinion that "most of" but not all Pakistanis don't like paying full price.
How do you perceive me ,from my online presence ? Would you give me work?
-
I would Chris but I am not sure you are a real person or you put across a completely different persona to who you actually are ;)
Have I read the above wrongly?
Rob ;D

Funny enough I had a similar job to quote on this week - he got me back because I did a good job for good price. He then said he was looking to do this work every year and then said I did it last time ( three years ago ) for £100 he was looking for a better price.
I re-quoted having checked through the books to find he paid cash and the jobs was £240 to which we now added vat. He has not replied.
I have not mentioned race creed or colour during this post ;)

After surveying my customers over many years...I will usually apply this formula.
If the client is of "Asian persuasion " I usually add 50% to the quote. This the allows a sort of "bartering" system to take place. Whereas the client undertakes to try and reduce the price...to what he sees fit to pay.
I believe this stems back to his forefathers and is part of the clients culture .....I also apply this formula when dealing with the "travelling " community.
I also tend to find that "generally" when dealing with both of these "communities" that we (white english) are "generally " regarded as scum.
Hope this helps.
When do i start work ...Rob?

Nice one Chris. All this tip toeing around these types gets right on my onions. My Formula is I never do work at all for these types :)

was just a joke mate, nothing more or less, it was tongue in cheek because Darren had said the last owners were Asian and had laid the paving poorly, which I found funny as if Asians are known to be rubbish at paving or something.
lol.
Now I agree with above, they tend to want something for nowt, genrally speaking of course, but as far as I know they are not syterotypically bad at paving hence my retort.
:)
