Title: pricing help large commercial
Post by: WGB on April 28, 2014, 08:57:51 pm
Have to have a quote if for this place for next week. Its a once a year job with inside and out with twice as much glass on inside as has alot of internal glass

here is back of it on street view, each window has balcony so back outside will have to be done by hand

Thoughts please, thanks in advance Wayne

Looks a lovely job.
Price it up on day rate and add 50%

looks like more trouble than its worth though - if you have the free time/labour to fit it in then do it, if not I wouldn't go out of my way to fit it into a thriving round - just imo

R+W outside and providing no access equipment is needed for the internals then at £2k its a good job.

You will get a very varied response posting a picture on here.
To price a job like that you really have to see and survey the job properly, you have people saying it will take between 4 days and some say 2 weeks, and some people have priced it at 2k and some at 6k and up.
The variation in price and time given is massive if you get it wrong you could end up out of pocket get it wright and its a nice job for you.
The difference in price and time on here is to wide you may as well pull numbers out of a hat.
You need to ask your self.
1.do you need the work?
2.do you want the work?
3.do you need extra labour?
4.do you need extra eqipment(like cherry picker,or a longer pole,or internal kit like a dragon fly).
5.could you sub it out to some one?
What ever you choose to do good luck with it.
Craig.

Agree with Craig on this one

but I would be happy with 2k for that job, I would even do it for 1500. With quick payment, it's an absolute p easy job, that realistically would take 1 person less than a week to do.

Person = a good window cleaner
