Just wondering what accounts ppl use to save for income tax?
Any accounts out there that pay good interest?

Doesn't matter really.

You have to declare any interest that money you have set aside for tax accrues.

Don't you already do that?  ;)

HSBC do a regular saver paying 4% for their current account custies. If you save the max of £250 a month you get about £60 in interest on top of your £3000. I've done this the last two years.

If you pay the money to HMRC they will pay interest at a good rate up to the time the money is actually due.  Can't remember what the rate is but it's definitely worth it, I pay as soon as the demand comes in which is usually a few months from the 'Payment Due' date, then when it's due I get the interest as a rebate :)
