Title: wiring an on/off switch?

I've just completed a simple van mount system an struggling to wire a simple on/off switch to my 60psi shurflo pump,anyone got any wiring diagrams????????????? ???

use this controls water flow prolongs life of pump and gives varile settings on pump

Do you have the switch already ?
If it has only 2 connections the way to wire it is ....

NEGATIVE - Straight from pump to battery.
POSITIVE + From pump to one connection on switch and then from the other connection on switch to the battery .

we just bought an ordinary light switch from b&q and wired that, just take a feedfrom the neutral side of the battery straught to the pump, thena feed from positive side of the battery via the switch straight to the pump, very simple....you might want to put an in-line fuse before the switch just in case, saves damaging the pump if summat goes wrong

Good exlanation Billozz, thats exactly what I did when my switch eventually died on me.

Except I bought a simple toggle switch from a local auto supplys shop.
