Post by: Richy L on March 27, 2006, 08:26:33 pm
Will the pole system work fine if there is:-

1. 6 weeks between cleans

2. 3 months between cleans

yes on both counts,as long as the window frames are suitable.they should stay cleaner for longer, wfp use is not impeded by the cleaning frequency.

all my work is 4 weekly .
I will not give my customers any other option, that way you need less customers

Just bear in mind that caked on bird's muck will take longer to remove and so a plastic pot scourer attachment to your pole will speed up its removal.

3 months between cleans?

As long as they realise it has to take longer and so the price will reflect that.  It is a bit of a false economy, you need to explain that sometimes.  After 3 months the windows will be filthy.  They will take loads more water, you will have filthy brushes too.  Extra charge.  2 months not so bad.
However you clean them, 3 months is too long to price a standard charge.

When my brother got his wfp setup first, he came round to my parents house and cleaned it, its a 3 story townhouse on a main road and the 3rd floor windows had not been done for at least 3 years. They came up completely spotless except for one where he hadnt seen the bird poo on it and so hadnt scrubbed it hard enough. So I'd say every 6wks or 3 months or even 6months would be just fine, just take a little more time and rinse extra on the ones that havent been done recently.

Bi monthly, charge 50% extra. I have done that on 2 estates. They save on their anual window cleaning bill and I get the right price for doing them. It's an ideal solution if your round gets too full. Dai
