Just wanted to say thanks to all you forum members I have learnt from over the past few years that I have been a member of this forum.
I have been on here long enough to remember Texas Girl and her calendars along with a lot of other peeps who are no longer around.
Although I didn't post much I really did learn a lot and tried everything from car windscreen washer jets on a brush (who's idea was that?), backpacks, home made trolleys and modular poles, bentley brushes, L5 heaters and Jeff Brimbles clampless poles - even made and used my own for a good while! There are loads of other things I have forgotten as well.
you have also kept me well entertained with the banter that goes on here.
Window cleaning has been good to me and i have enjoyed it - sometimes!
Off to pastures new now but intend to keep looking in to see whats going on with you lot.
Have fun and enjoy life. thanks again,
DJ

Did he have another account ??? 41 posts lol ?

OK. I did say that I didn't post a lot in my OP. The reason for that?
Twats like Spruce and H2O services who think they are soooooo clever.
You are in fact nobheads.
Shame you feel the need to belittle other forum members. You, and the others like you, are the reason many people do not post on here.
Goodbye

I think Peter Fogwill will be upset when he reads that. ;D
Yep, he was a taker (lurker) and not a contributer. Good riddans to that man. ;D
Lets hope the Turkish sun is kind to him.

I'm so sorry for upsetting him! He obviously doesn't take negative criticism well.
He used the forum, gave nothing and then used it to advertise the dregs of his equipment he had left over. What did he expect? Us windies to buy him a farewell leaving present?
Ok! I hope he has a really enjoyable retirement in the sun. See him back when he needs treatment on the NHS.

Spruce that is so right, them ex pays make me laugh, can't wait to get out the country to start there new life in Spain, then slating how crap England is, but when they want there tablets they soon fly back over. Bloody joke really shouldn't be allowed draining the NHS !!!!! Go pay and use there hospitals !!!!! 😁😁😁👍
I can see where your coming from with Ace !!!!
Me personally could stand touch hot weather, it's ok for a while but working & sleeping in it starts to take its toll. My perfect day is fairly warm but cloudy the windows loooook sooooooo much better when the sums not shinning on them showing every little mark. The suns only good for holiday and days out 👍👍👍

Just to put the record right Danny. I wouldn't return to UK for ANY medical reason thank you. I gladly pay around 200 quid a month med insurance. I see a doctor within hours of ringing one. I see a dentist in the same time bracket. Medical systems only work when everyone pays in. I used to remember, when I was a kid in UK, dentists and doctors appointments were easy to get, and the NHS was really the envy of the world. It still is, because it's free !!! So third world countries and some other countries too, aren't too upset when their citizens pop over for some med treatment.
I have a niece and a nephew who both work in the NHS, she's a nurse, and he's on the IT side. So I get a gist of what's going on mate. You can keep it. I'll stick with paying and getting good treatment, you can have the free system. ;)
Must be strange having doctors and nurses who can't speak the Native language, and people dying of de-hydration while in hospital mate.
I'm not slating UK, just thankful that I have a choice of medical care. Love UK, but wouldn't like to live there now. I'm at an age where I like to feel safe.

At your age you are far from safe.... :P

I agree. Yes I'm a foreigner but this milking the system does my head in.
The only thing people think about here is what they can get out of the system. "I'm entitled to get benefits as my Dad paid into the system all his life" etc.
One thing I will always respect the Germans for was their being able to look at the big picture and see how their acts impact on others and their country.
About 25 years ago the unions negotiated a 36 hour working week at the Bosch Power Tool manufacturing plant in Leinfelden, just outside Stuttgart. The staff continued to work 44 hours, "because the country can't afford each person working 8 hours less a week."
Everything was spotlessly clean and care was taken for the countryside as they wanted to leave a good place for their children. How opposite here.
Cozy, I know the NHS has taken a battering, but I can only say we have had the best care from James Cook in Middlesbrough over the years. Just recently daughter in law was rushed in for an emergency c section as she started bleeding at 7 months. The Ambulance was there virtually immediately, stabilised her while the team was rounded up for her op. Baby was born at 8.45am. The care both she and our granddaughter got over the next 2 months in that hospital was brilliant. Yet there were a couple of druggie, benefits people complaining and whipping up trouble about the state of the place. And the reason why their baby was premature and in a bad way was because she was hooked on drugs and so was the baby.
They should all be exported to Soweto township and then they will get a wake up call.
(Grand daughter is doing well - from 4 lbs to nearly 20lbs in 9 months and on a par with babies her age as if nothing had happened.)

Anyway, I'm sorry for having a go at Ace this morning. I would normally let it brush over my head.
He did make a small impact on my demeanor today as I’m not felling good. His reply to Pure and me did make me laugh and raised my spirits. So to him I say thank you.

There are always anecdotes for good and poor service in the NHS Spruce, I know that. However, it's reported by the UK's own press and commissioned reports, that the service is on it's knees and has little chance of reaching any sort of acceptable standard.
Free systems aren't really free. Someone has to pay into them. There aren't enough paying in are there? I'm not slating the usual suspects, the un-employed etc, but with over 60 million people, and only about 30 to 40% of people actually paying into the system, when will that work?
I have no idea how much people pay from their wage into the system of care, but it's not enough, is it? Mine is set at €235 per month, and varies (upwards) depending on my yearly profits. If my wife wasn't working, or self employed, she'd be insured through me. She pays, at the moment around €160.
Don't know or hear of anyone complaining about what they pay here. The Gurmans are pretty quick to complain when they're not happy. Not saying it's Utopia Spruce, but looking at the NHS from over here....................... :(
Gone off topic haven't we lol!! :o ;D ;D

Yes its in a poor state. A lot is all about ticking boxes and high management salaries and bonuses.
My daughter in law works at the other hospital in Stockton on Tees and the staff morale is a major issue. In her dept. they will only do their job. If they have nothing to do and some else is snowed under with work, tough. They won't ever offer to help.
-
Cozy I know where your coming from. I can't knock nhs as I think it's great they do good just with all the pressure they have. I just think it gets abused. Take this for instance I clean an African hairdressers and the lady was telling me that her brother who lives in Ghana need his leg amputated but couldn't afford it so it was cheaper for her to pay his flight have it done in the UK then fly him home taking the P.
I've always said that our hospitals should be like the rest of the Country where you have insurance and pay, then it wouldn't get so abused.
I've heard Germany is a really lovely place very clean and very strick but ain't all the women there got hairy armpits yukkk lol. I say this cause the singer Nina whose sang 99 red balloons has really bad hairy armpits pmsl !!!! ;D ::)roll ;D
-
Cozy shaves his armpits cos his clients like it that way.

this all seemed to start off so well, divided again like British. We should all stick togeather like Muslims, if any religion or foreign nationals SLAG british off, Do what they do and all appear from nowhere and March and Demonstrate Physically against them, Maybe even BURN there national flags in the street just as they do.
But we cant do that or we will be racial scum.
Come on UKIP.
lOOK TO 10 - 15 YEARS TIME WHEN ALL THERE CHILDREN HAVE GROWN UP. britian will sink. people forget how small we are, our green areas are farms , we need them, we shouldnt have to be building more houses, there is one reason and one reason only we are getting over populated , i wont say it because i will be told its racial.
if i had the cash i too would go. im glad i dont live in Birmingham and have kids looking for a school.
where did all that come from.

Our green areas ;D thats a joke 70% of the land belongs to the so
called elite and has done for hundreds of years.
Again the elite has pulled wool over the eyes ...Britain as
whole only around 7% of the land has been built on in fact there is
more areas of forest now 12%.
90% of the population pushed into tiny areas to live and there is
enough resources for all in this country but the minority who have
most of the wealth and land dont want to share.
If you want to know who really causes the problems in this country
look above you and not below.
-
Seagulls?
-
banjo players with dogs??
;D

Seagulls?
Very good ;D

Isn't it the patients that suffer, though.

Yes Danny, without exception, ALL Gurman women have hairy armpits. Well spotted there. ;D
Gary, never knew you were a commi!!! ;D
Fill a cage with too many animals, and they will turn on eachother. Same with people. When is the NHS completely knackered? What point does it reach before it's knackered? Same with population, how much is enough? Immigration, when is that enough? Where's the limits? What number of British people have to be Christian before that's enough to say Britain is a Christian country? How many of the population need to be muslim before Britain is a muslim country?
If the UK's population are happy with being "richly diverse" and multi culti, then nobody will vote for extreme parties. So nothing to worry about. Let's see what happens next year with a general election.
This topic has changed from the OP. Maybe Tosh want's to move it into the non related section. ? Then we can have more loonies and turnips like Ross and Gary post more on it ;D ;D Oh, Ross was the guy who killed the forum last week. >:( It was his fault. He's bezzie mates with the Commi Gary too. :D

Thread has gone from a thank you thread to this. LMAO.
-
Maybe all these people who complain about others getting this and that should
take a good look at what they get out of the system.
I don't have kids should I be angry at subsidising people who do.
I don't have elderly parents should I be angry because my parents paid in to the system all
their working lives but died before getting anything back.
I could go on.
In any caring society there will always be some who will get more back than others that doesn't make
it wrong and yes there will be a small amount who will milk it.
The problems with the NHS are all down to bad government not because of people milking it.
If your getting less from the system than others then that means your more than likely doing well
so stop complaining and be thankful for what you have.
-
Ace I hope have a long and happy retirement you lucky sod.
Not many shiners make it and most that do have went mental years before.
