Title: Sisal Carpet

Got a Sisal carpet to clean next week.  Lady had spilled some tea on it (not hot).

Would encap (dynamall) work with the stain?

Whats the best option for this type of carpet?

The best option Darran is to walk away, if you look up some of the old post on the subject you will see why

I sprayed some dynamall on a sissal carpet and left i overnight as it at the front door and kids had made a mess of it ,thought i,d give it a go it went very dark after i sprayed and agited and left it next morning it was a vast improvement but not 100% probably 70% better

Very high risk of shrinkage. Even just spraying the carpet with a pre-spray can make the carpet pull away from the skirting boards.

Stain removal only with liquid based products will more than likely leave a very hard to remove water mark that will look worse than the stain, and it'll be your fault then. So good luck with that Darren son  :D

If you've got any dry compound and a CRB, then this might be your safest bet but results are limited.

We have CRB machines.  Looks like I'll knock this one on the head.   :o

Dry clean with if necessary a very light misting on the stain and or traffic lanes. I wouldn't do anything other than that. Stupid carpets.

Although I say that, I decided to buy a sisal rug for in front of the log burner! Haven't had to clean it yet :(

Helped a friend out who spilled a whole bottle of wine on her sisal. explained the risks
but it was do or die. Quite profiled so couldn't get decent suction, used microsplitter, then enzyyme,
then sod met, extractimg with acid rinse between each, carpet vastly improved, it was latex backed and stretched.
After a final mist with sod met the next day, all was good after a re-stretch, and still friends.

Wouldn't have the bottle to do it on a custy's carpet tho  :o
