Title: Hose to pole hose fittings ? 🍀🍀
Post by: dannymack on April 22, 2014, 01:51:04 pm
What do you fellas n girls use to connect hose to pole hose. At the mo I'm using hozelock and the nylon hose tails. I'm thinking of getting rectus male and female fittings. Just like to get info on what's the best fittings ?

Cheers for any advice in advance

I have had one set of fittings and big balls for just over a year now on my main pole, and they never leak.

I switched to smaller balls and found the fittings did pop off. Maybe 3 - 5 times a week. With big balls no issues.

So the bigger the balls the better. ;D

yes the balls stop them scraping along the ground :) stops the fittings wearing down.
balls are important. ;)

anyone thinking of getting the protector conectors from aquadapter, dont bother they dont work at all like they do on the video and slip in your hands when wet, the balls are much better, i might drill a hole in a tennis ball and try that as well :-)

done that with a tennis ball then put a zip tie on  hose to stop the ball sliding up the hose if it got caught on something.

Should have emailed Gardiner they would have sorted it.

The fittings are miles away from the floor when reeling in.

So no ball issues.

No worries sorted it now. Do these balls need drilling H20 ? I normally use them plastic ones you get in schools they have all the hole in them. They seem to wear out when you cut out bigger holes for the hose to go through.

They wont pop off. Had 120psi through them. Balls are pre drilled ;)
