Title: Which van for a 1000ltr tank?
Post by: groundhog on April 22, 2014, 12:49:21 pm: Does anyone carry 1000 litres or more in their van? if so what van do you use? I want to get a decent van which will let me carry this amount of water, as I can easily use that much in a day, and I am fed up with wasting time filling up half way through the day. Thanks

We have already got an old Renault master carrying 1000 ltr and a peugeot boxer 1000 ltr
I would never use anything smaller as 1000 ltrs is easily used in a few hours on larger jobs

If you are thinking of new, then i would suggest looking on autotraders new van section at some of the 'less fashionable' vans, such as, citroen relay/fiat ducato/peugeot boxer, or the nissan nv400/renault master/vauxhall movano. One example which caught my eye was a mwb 3.5t citroen relay with the 130bhp engine for under £13k

Hi Gary, yes things are improving thanks! My divorce is finally over and I am about to get a lump sum from the sale of my house, so I can afford to get a decent van and equipment, and get my business back together at last!

An '09 transit mwb 3.5t with the 140 bhp 2.2tdci engine, 62.5k miles, £7495+vat. It is being sold by midland vans in the Birmingham area.

Thanks mate, probably a bit far for me, as I'm based near to Portsmouth.
