Title: trolley VS van
Post by: duncan h on April 17, 2014, 08:35:33 pm
Hi guys. Just starting up, so be easy on me  ;)
Money is an issue, but I like life as easy as possible.
I have a LWB 51 plate Transit, so anything will fit in it.
Here are my thoughts on both.
TROLLEYS
easy access
cheaper
portable

VAN
no messing refilling
no dragging about

The problem with van mount is....Like now, Ford have been doing warranty work for 3 weeks now. What would I do if it was fixed to van floor???
Did a quote other day and could only park miles away. Trolley would be so easy for 1 house.
If it was a few houses, van would be so much easier.
Hose has to cross public path. I guess you have to put a notice up to cover your back?

Van mount every time, surprising how far you can get with 100 meters of hose ( yes a hundred meters! ) you know what I mean.

Anywho, backpacks and trolleys are far too much hard work for my liking

Just my opinion

what do you do about the hose, or should I say someone trying to rip and claim. Also how easy is it to wind 100m of hose every job?

I was thinking diy van job. quite cheap. Just takes up space.

i suppose it depends on your round.
i have van mount and a backpack because some streets i work on are hard to get a parking space some weeks outside the customers house so then the backpack comes into play
