Title: Gardiner Poles
Post by: heath verrall on April 17, 2014, 04:52:47 pm
Are Gardiner poles any good, at the moment I use brodex alloy poles.
When I started water fed pole about five years ago I had a fibreglass pole but it kept getting stuck all the time, jamming half way down as I tried to retract the pole sections.

Are Gardiner brushes any good

I too used to use Brodex. Now I have SLX-22. The difference is like night and day.

Yes the brushes seem a bit small wonder if I can screw a brodex on one of the poles

cabon fibre.

They do a cheaper range called CLX that are a composite of carbon fibre and fibre glass

Compared to the Brodex they are miles ahead but not a great fan of the new clamps.
I never had any problems with the old ones so for me the new clamps are a minus point.

It would be nice if Alex got his poles made with the phoenix clamps.  then they would be perfect.

needless to say they are beautiful poles.

Hi Sean

If you are having an issue with the Smart Clamps then drop me an email and I can help sort this for you. They should be a pleasure to use so if not there may be an issue that needs sorting for you.

Best poles I have ever used.

Brushes are fantastic, but wear out quick.

But I don't care, poles are so well built and easy to handle. its worth every penny.

Glad you like the poles so much.

New clamps are definitely much better than old, so much so that I've not even bothered taking my slx with old clamps out any more and just using the new clx22. Wear and tear with the old clamp is a bit disappointing.
