Does anyone use / have / heard of a quote software program that can be used on PDA's? Something like a template for ticking boxes for carpet type, stains, poss. even a formula for working out sq. metre price, etc? :)
Cheers

A friend of mine has a company that manufactures and installs window blinds.
He paid for a specialist to organise his existing Excel based software to work on O2 XDA's so every fitter and rep had the information.
It cost a fortune, and still doesn't work properly.
Maybe buying a cheap laptop might be a better approach ? I know they are bulky, but you could also use them to show before/after pictures to help get the job.

Can't you program something in Pocket Excel or if you have a worksheet in Excel send it to the PDA?

Dead easy using excel, you can even program it on your pc and port it over to the pda. Just dont use macros, use formulas instead.

Hi,
I use pocket slides to port over a powerpoint presentation of our B&A pics. You can then give it to the client and tell them to click the screen to change slide. It seems to work well, but i have never thought about writing a spreadsheet to calulate cost of jobs and collect details.
Im sure it would be possible for a windows based pda, not sure about palm though.
