Title: web hosting
Post by: peter maybury on April 14, 2014, 01:23:26 pm
I need to find an alternative web host provider. I need unlimited hosting (50 + sites) can anybody suggest some cost effective reliable providers.
Also is there any advantage to cloud hosting as this seem to be something that is growing in the market place.
grateful for any help .

I use Hostgator Peter, costs me around £10 a month for business plan, unlimited domains and sites and disk space.

50 sites? There not all going to be carpets sites are they? ;)

Hi Pete,

Get over to Heart Internet, that's where we've got all ours.

Cheers,

Use a UK based one, so you can get the .uk extension when they come out.  According to Nominet if you have a .co.uk domain they will hold the .uk extension for you to buy for five years.

Peter

take care moving might cost you some seo juice.

Have you thought about slimming down to three sites adwords, local, seo and go for a more usefull url? i use

http://www.cleaning-carpet.co.uk/

then sub domain

http://chelmsford.cleaning-carpet.co.uk/

The reason for three is google will remove an seo place if you use adwords, not sure about local so by having different urls you avoid this.

Ip's are something else to think about

by building a mega site you have one site with loads of longtails and benefit from this. do worry about dupe content if you want same for each town. my adwords site lists well in some areas just by default.

You will save yourself money and time that can be diverted from marketing to selling and thats where you make more money.

Respects
