There is still some deep staining in that stone isn't there or is it just the way the light is falling?

Done by hand with no rinse, just a terry towel to mop it up. will look amazing when i've finished.

Not been taught how to do repairs so i don't do them yet, but always willing to learn. not that anyone does a stand alone repair course.  done a couple of trav fills and they looked okay, (used your stuff by the way for that, still got some left) and done a bit of grout replacement but nothing too risque'. will post pictures of this job when its done so you can point out all the bits i've missed,  ;D

i just find these floors transform from a concrete slab thats just black (especially in this case) into amazing colours that totally transform the whole look and feel of the house.

Yes it's always good when it goes well isn't it!  Nice before and after for your website as well.  Can you post another one of the floor actually sealed as well?

That was a shame I would have liked to have seen some pictures of it sealed!  Is Stainguard an enhancing sealer then?

Stainguard is not a colour enhancing impregnator. It is a solvent based impregnator that protects and is breathable but leaves the stone in its natural look.

Steve

I always use Premium Quality Impregnating Enhancing Sealer on these floors as it brings out all the natural beauty, veining and fossils in this type of stone.  My preferred sealer is Aqua Mix Enrich N Seal (15 Year Expected Wear) or Miracle 511 Impregnator Seal & Enhance (20 Year Warranty).  Unless of course the customer specifically requests they don't want it enhanced.

which she did. after cleaning she wanted it to look exactly the same so thats what i did.

Hopefully i'll get the job every year now so no need for a 15 year guarantee

Nice one, a maintenance plan in place sounds good mate.
I wouldn't tell them they have a 15 year guarantee anyway no matter what the bottle says on any make of sealer. Your bound to end up with the one custy who is forever on the phone to you, for all you know she could have a herd of elephants tramping over every it day compared to the professional couple at work all day and only in the house a few hours.
