Title: Should I do it for free?
Post by: Mr Sparkle on April 09, 2014, 11:09:36 am
???  Had 2 complaints from last weeks cleaning,

Customer text yesterday saying her windows are worse now than before I cleaned!
Basically it was from the sand storm from the Sahara what as caused it!

I cleaned her house last Thursday and she text her complaint yesterday

What would you do?
Would you offer to reclean it or just say it was because of the Sahara storm!

Bit annoyed as it's not my fault it's nature

so its been nearly a week since you last cleaned the windows?

i wouldnt do them again until their next due again.too busy.unless their on compact estate work that i still have work due on.i would also charge them again.

i remember a few years ago a customer of mine asked me to clean again THE DAY AFTER A CLEAN(very stormy overnight).i agreed and she paid me again.i also had lots of work nearby due so no going out of my way. ;) :)

I would agree to clean again for free but explain you need to be told within 24hrs next time or how can you be sure its your fault.

I would do em again for free because I knew the sand storm may cause some problems but still decided to clean and take any call backs on chin. The sand storm was last week wend/thus /fri, more than likely she just forgot to call you before yesterday .

We offer a free re-clean provided they complain within 3 days. Chances are I would clean them again free this time but explain the 3 day rule to the customer.

Best answer.
That is what I would do.
Sometimes little things go a long way with custies.
Some of the millionaire windies will tell me I am wrong though  ;D

She's been a customer for around 5 years!
Been a messer occasionally , making excuses to not have a clean!
She's on an 8 weekly!
Might reclean this time and give her the benefit of the doubt
