Title: pressure washing newbie
Post by: Karl Wildey on April 09, 2014, 07:50:06 am
Hi to all,

Been in the carpet cleaning game for 28 years and i am the best in Norfolk, lol. I know carpet cleaning inside and out but no idea of pressure washing. My son is thinking of setting up his own company in this field. I am hoping to get a few tips on here.

1. I assume avoid chinese machines and stick with Honda, kohler, B&S etc

2. How do you price a job?

3. I assume patios are priced differntly to brickweave, again how do you price it.

4. cleaning of conservatory and facias, what extras do you need and are these easy to do?

Thanks Karl

i wouldn't use a pressure washer on a conservatory if i was you. i always use my water fed poles on that type of work.

1)yes

2) after you have done a few jobs work out how long they took you then charge your wanted hourly rate

3) why? Base your charge on how long it takes, not what you are cleaning

Thanks Mike for the reply.
Was looking at this for my son, but he is unsure whether to go it alone at present, so leaving him to decide his future.
