Hi everyone, can you help? I bought 2 moerman poles for traditional window cleaning from Cleaning Spot last August. Used but not abused. Both poles have jammed closed so cannot extend. Emailed cleaning spot, but they're not interested, in either repair or replace, cos they only offer a 1 month warranty. Uk law states 1 year manufactures warranty, plus consumers have a further 6 years to make a claim. Am I'm missing something here. Does this law not apply to trades?
I know the poles didn't cost a fortune, but how can a company get away with this? Anyone else had any issues?

are they twist lock poles? they often get stuck when soapy water runs down them then you close them and donyt use them for a while.
i notice that they smell funny after a while too prob because of detergent in the pole, it is that wet scrim sort of funk.
tbh though mate, are you sure its not your fault in some way like i have mentioned?

maybe heating the clamps with a hairdryer then twisting? i have no idea if it will work i just read it in relation to something similar in another thread today.

Use brute force.
It happens sometimes with the Unger extension poles I use.
I have some of that non slip rubber stuff in the van to get a better grip.
I also have the same problem occasionally when trying to change wfp brushes.
