Would you like to be my first northern franchisee? lol ;D

I thought connects had a cam chain that doesn't need changing until 150.000

I thought chains should pretty much last the life of the van, that was the point of a chain?

It is a belt, like it says on the previous post ::)roll
dd, you dont have to put on michelin tyres, other makes are available, so long as they are the correct load rating. I bought 4 new uniroyal rain expert tyres for my lwb connect, got them on ebay for about £250. A local garage fitted and balanced them for £30.
Daz, i'm not sure i would class spending 2k on poles as doing it on the cheap!

Thats great, i didnt say it wasn't
Previous post said that 150,000 was correct in changing a chain, so i said i thought they lasted the life of the van?
Any more cocky comments?

The post before yours says "150000 correct miles but it is a belt"
Then you said "I thought chains should pretty much last the life of the van, that was the point of a chain"
Or did i miss something?

I'm nott going to bother going to the trouble of quoting the whole thread....
Read Paul T's question (chain @150k)
Then read the reply(yes,but....)
Then read my question (chains last forever...?)
At least read the thread before you try sarcasm....
-
Do you need some Valium?, i think you need to calm down a bit before you burst a blood vessel, this is only a forum after all!.
Now, your comment which i was quoting re the timing chain came about an hour after brianbarber's comment. I did read the thread through, which is why, naturally, i thought your comment a little odd, given the previous one answered your question an hour beforehand. If your comment was not as a response to brianbarber, then you should have quoted whoever s comment it was a response to.
Not sure why you think my comments are cocky or sarcastic, but you accusing me of not reading the thread through, when you clearly hadn't, is a bit rich.
-
the tyres are getting fitted sat.£220 for 4 higher load bearing ones (205 s).
the engine is a 1.8 tdci (90hp)engine.ive no idea whether its a chain or belt.my local garage normally charge me £150-£200 to change one.

I need the valium?
Bless you, you go off on one, getting your knickers in a twist and then say i need to calm down?
Like you said mate, 'its just a forum' so calm down...
My apologies for not quoting the post mine was in response to, it was naive if me to think it would be obvious it was in response to the two that preceded it....
Happy now?its a timing chain buddy, calm down
