Hi Paul
I charge £16 per hour for calling. If data sourcing for the contact list is required this works out at an additional £3 per hour, however I provide this free of charge if you schedule 16 hours calling or more in one week.
See this post for totals by number of hours -> http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=178830.0

SB Becci did 16 hours for me and worth every penny
For the cost which was cheap had paid off over and over.
👍
-
Sorry Becs missed your comment your welcome and Thankyou two. Once I get the rest of the Appointments sorted I will book you again in a couple of weeks. Hope you will beable to fit me in that is
Cheers Becci
Dannymack 👍
-
sorry for being thick but whats data sourcing?
how does it work in basic terms what you get for your money?
-
Hi Paul
Data sourcing is where we source a contact list of company details to your specification to target during our calling.
Average results are to receive 1 request for quotation and 2-3 information requests every 1-2 hours, and we only book appointments where a genuine interest is shown.

Ahh no worries becci :)

One thing I don't get is he they were unhappy with current cleaners why did you need to price it even less then what they did it for ???
-
I went slightly cheaper which makes it look better, I didn't know if they were getting in more quotes ? The thing I think that got me the jobs was the fact I said if your not happy with the work I do on the first clean I won't charge.
I think that goes along way don't you 👳

Thanks Plw I know what your saying but I always do a good job and make sure we clean every window so hopefully they won't change if I'm doing a good job.
All down to Becci for getting me in there so worth the money as I wouldn't know about these jobs and that the managers wasn't happy with there window cleaner.
Cheers Dannymack
I know you wasn't knocking me that's ok I could see where you was comming from 👍
-
Sounds like a sweet deal, 4 big care homes where you have undercut the current cleaner on every one.....and they only have to pay if they are happy with the clean? What could go wrong?

How do you know the managers were being honest about what they were being charged?
If I was looking to save money I'd say I was paying less than I was and hope to get an even bigger saving.

Griffin one manger showed me the cleaning company's invoices on there computer the first did and on the others I asked how much they were charging and if I could I would go slightly lower of which they dug out the paid invoice which was good of them. I'm happy with the prices even if the were made up. There monthly apart from one office job which is 2 monthly. You've gotta be happy with your price or you would start knocking it about. I've still got quite a few appointments still this week what Becci got me so may get abit more. What I've got so far pays Becci's money over & over many times. Cheers Degree yes what can go wrong only of my work is shoddy which it's not everyone's a winner 👍
-
Peter you won't be disappointed Becci's is very good at her job you will do ok 👍

Fair enough.
-
Danny so you paid aroud £256 (16hours x £16) for becci to do the campaign? And you have got more than that back in first cleans alone?
Danny
-
Also G Griffin I always ask what the other cleaning company's charge and why the change 8 of 10 they normally say, you can the odd few that wanna see your quote first. If the other company were really cheap I'd of said no I'm sorry I can't beat that but what you will get is a far better job and all windows cleaned. Also my prices will stay at that price for a few years.
I'm giving away all my tac tics !!!! 👍
-
Yes Kleenaway much more than that and I still have a few more appointments this week which I may get a few more. So what I paid Becci was well worth the money. Becci did work for me a while back which I got a few homes before and got me work so I thought I would spend abit more money for 16 hours and its paid off so well. 👍

where you from then and why do you support Scouserpool??
I'm not far from Liverpool and the closest team are Wigan. When I was young they were non league so almost everyone had another team; usually United (also very close). The first game I ever went to was Liverpool v WBA. A customer of my dads took me and that was it.
A few years later, another customer of my dads started giving me a lift to home games and local aways (and Wembley, of course) so I never grew out of it. Most of my mates dropped their boyhood teams as Wigan became more successful. I couldn't do that and I was going to games anyway so didn't need another team.
Saying that, I went to a lot of Wigan games if Liverpool were away and had some good times.
As a teenager we'd spent a lot of time at Wigan's old ground, playing on their training pitch. We used to have a kick about with the reserves after training. Funnily enough, a lot of them were Scousers who'd gone there after being released by Liverpool (and Everton, to a lesser extent).

1978 they got elected into the League and I'd have been 8. I remember it happening but I was already spoken for. European Cups do that to you. A bit more glamorous than election to the Football League.
So I'm late 30's (44).

I'm the new 40 (50).
My uncle played for Wigan. Ben Seddon.

Just had a Google. Interesting :). But I don't remember many from that era.
We had some fun at that old ground. We even knew how to turn the lights for the all weather training pitch on and off. We'd be on playing football 'til 10 night on a football league ground (when it was closed).
I remember one league game, we put our own padlock on a turnstile entrance and just opened it up on match day. I went down to the new ground for a ticket for a Liverpool game and they're asking am I on their database!
FA Cup holders now. Modern football, eh?
Ps. Sed/Seddon? I get it now.

Becci.. I don't suppose you cover the south east(Suffolk) do you? :-)

We went to his 60th a couple of years ago at the Sefton Park Palm House. It was great. His son who is a successful solicitor laid on a This is Your Life event with a Sky Sports presenter. He had a top notch non league career as a bruising centre half. Most of his time was at Stafford Rangers though.
We got to a Liverpool match a couple of years ago and saw Suarez. He is the best player I have ever seen. He stood out a mile.

This is what drives down prices of commercial work.
I know Danny has some long standing contracts as he has told us, but any new work you undercut on you are just a sitting duck for the next under cutter.
I lost all but a few commercial jobs over the years as i was fed up of under cutters. The last job was a job i had cleaned for over 10 years. Never moved the price.
£30 in and out 1hr, then out of the blue they had a quote for £25 and wanted me to match it. NO chance.
This is why the commercial takes a back burner for me.
I don't think a lot of cleaners are suited for commercial anyway. You get some folk who whine over loosing a £15 house, imagine loosing a £150 per month job lmao.

Hmmm, so in order to preserve commercial prices generally, we should all refrain from trying to get new commercial work? ::)roll

There's a difference in gaining new commercial work and purposely beating the last quote to gain commercial work. I do one but won't do the other.
Over the long term it just ends up being a race to the bottom with the customer being the only one to benefit.
-
H20 how you gotta see it, if the cleaning company were doing a great job they prob would have stuck with them but I'm guessing it was a big company who have loads of work and the employees were knocking the care home left right and centre to of which they prob told them and they didn't care. I knocked it down a few quid, not much but I got the contracts and will look after the jobs. I rarely put prices up in years as I'm happy with what I quote for. I know fuel and other things go up but it goes up only little so am not bothered in putting my prices up.
Cheers for all comments.
Ay it's down to Becci for getting me in these jobs 👍👍👍

Just because someone has under-cut an existing contractor doesnt make them any more vulnerable to being under-cut. We're all vulnerable to it, end of story.

Except that according to the OP the information on pricing was volunteered and they weren't happy with the existing service. In general I do agree with you, but in that situation I don't see a problem. The threat to H2O isn't from the likes of Danny, it is from the companies paying minimum wage and happy with a small margin over the top.
Remember those two on Dragon's Den? A million turnover, but tiny profit.

Suarez is fantastic.
What sets him apart from many others is his attitude. You can see he wants to play. He wants to win and he wants to score. That and the fact that he can play a bit makes him so good.
