Rob, when your doing the supermarkets do you get your water supply from their own hydrants or do you source a feed  from the local utility supply on the street (obviously for a fee ) ! Ed

I am in Kingston upon Thames from Monday (for a couple of weeks), we have an additional job at another Asda the following Sunday in Wembley. Both Thames Water area.

I have spoken to Maria at Supply UK this morning and I have a 22mm, metered, hydrant being delivered to the 1st store on Monday morning. This will be used on both jobs.

Ordinarily on a site visit I look for the store supply and see how usable it is for us. Can I get it to various areas without affecting footfall, creating trip hazards, will anyone else need to use it, loads of variables.

On the Kingston job we are on a busy main road for two sides of the store roof, too visible for sticking a non metered hydrant in the outlet for 8 hours of constant fill up.

I should be able to get three sides of the store done using the hydrant and then we go onto the service yard supply for the car park side. I don't know the layout of the Wembley store and we have the hydrant anyway so we will just use it there.

If it is night works and tucked out of the way then there may be unscrupulous operators that may decide that a little water borrowed, using a large bore riser is worth taking the risk for as I believe they tell me it only takes 30 seconds to fill up. ;)

Good.

Try and make it the end of the week if you can because it is a new client I am working with and I need to get in front as we have painters waiting to come in behind us. Just turned into a one man job which puts a bit of pressure on me
