If you use aworka it doesn't matter if computer/tablet crashes as you can access you work from anywhere. You can use a smartfone and you don't even need a signal as you sync your work when you get home.

You could drop your phone in your trad bucket though I suppose then you might struggle :D

I used to do contract cleaning, decorating  and even air conditioning work all through the Aworka program. You just need to create a different job type. The rest is the same.

They are working on the possibility of raising a new job while you are on the road working on the shortcut version you use on the phone which will be good but I just wait till I get home.

Not sure on multiple users how it works as I am sole trader but it works fine I think.

There is no "right" tablet. I'm sure polequeen or h2o"I'm only 21"cleaning will be along soon enough to tell you how ipads are the only option but it all depends on your budget.

Personally I can't see past the Nexus. Very affordable, comes in a range of sizes and will likely still be getting updates from Google when the current igadget has been adandoned by Apple or they stop making chargers for it.

If you genuinely want a tablet just for light workloads like this, try the hudl.  Dirt cheap, power enough for basic stuff. http://www.tesco.com/direct/hudl/

Nope, personally I like the iPad Air and wouldn't have anything else.
Like anything though, horses for courses.
Like Vin says the Hudl is a great bit of kit for the $.
My mum's got one.
For what she uses it for, it's no worse than an ipad but 20% of the cost.

You can't prejudge me soupy. As you're a miserable old man you'll always err to the negative. Sometimes you'll be right. Sometimes not.

Toshiba Encore runs FULL windows 8.1 so any program will work on it that runs in a normal PC. I use George and don't even bother printing workloads anymore just sits in my locked tray in the van
