Title: Tds before DI 20 After DI 30
Post by: Clever Forum Name on March 30, 2014, 03:52:06 pm
Is that normal for saturated resin or do I have a problem.

Under/overfilled?

It was new resin placed in the vessel last year. Then it's sat in a garage for a year. Could it be ruined?

Even if it was over, or under filled, the fact that the water TDS is higher after the DI proves the resin is off !

It came out at 999 x10 for a minute lol so that's like 9999PPM haha

Have you tried running it for half hour ish and then checked tds?
Theres always a bit of a spike when you leave resin in a d.i for a bit, i think its due to the solids being denser than water and so rise to the top (the longer you leave it, the longer the spike until the resin goes off due to drying out etc...)

Either that or its just plain deaded  ;D

After 30 mins it wouldn't go lower than 30ppm. Water was going in less than 20 lol.

I think it was spent.

Ordered new vessel and resin as not happy with this one anyway :)

Dont use it.....

(Try to seal it as best as possible, if you store it in a bag then get the air out then seal. Store in dark, dry place)
