Title: Removing Limescale from Glass
Post by: gary evans on March 28, 2014, 04:36:21 pm
Hi All

I have a job where tap water has been sprayed onto glass, some areas not bad others quite a lot. Just looking for recommendationts for chemicals to use to break it down.

Thanks in advance

Gary

Lidls home brand limescale products usually do the trick. If that fails then Winsol 550 is quality.

Unger Rubout is good for this:

I have tried a number of different products for removing mineral staining, and found this very good and one of the easiest to use. I also found the sorbo powder good, but harder to use.

+1.  Get the foam spray one £3.40 or so at Sainsbury's.  Spray on, leave a minute for minor marking, two minutes if bad, then rinse off with pure.  If not clear, another application will do the business.

I use Cillit Bang Limescale & Shine, with a non scratch scourer if it's really bad.
It's amazing stuff!
