What do you all say to the custards when they ask why your working in the rain?
Im working today, its showers on and off but no wind so shouldn't affect the windows should it??
-
"We offer a 24hr guarantee..any problems please call us"
-
i tell them with a smile: even when is raining i still need to feed my kids :)
always work! ;)

I never use that, although i can see it might work. Lol
I'm not a charity, and so don't expect the customers to care about my finances.
It would be like turning up and saying.....
"I know I didn't clean your windows missus, but can I have the £10 anyway? My bills are due"
;D
The same as above, I offer 24 hour guarantee. Not one call back yet. :)

Its not about money as we can always make it up in the better months.
Its about being reliable and cleaning within the time frame agreed.
I offer customers a 24 hour guarantee but also explain to them if I don't clean in the rain
then I cant guarantee that their windows will be cleaned on time.
I used to clean in dry weather only but found that my round was all over the place and that I was constantly getting
stressed out trying to catch up.
At the end of the day you cant win in this game the same customers who complain about you cleaning in the rain
will complain if you don't clean them on time so like M & M said just crack on.
-
just do it.
i never thought it possible to clean in wet weather at one time thinking all my customers would not have them cleaned.
its a myth.once you ve been doing it for a few years no one says anything!! ;D

Give them the rain guarantee. If they don't want to go along with that just explain they'll have to wait until their part of the round comes round again (you cant accommodate after today as you'll be working elsewhere) however long that is. 6 weeks - 4 weeks whatever frequency you work at.
-
I tell my customers that the rain doesn't affect window cleaning with the system that I use (WFP). Light rain is no problem, though if it's raining so hard then I can't look up at the upper floor windows, then I can't work. I also offer a guarantee that I will clean the windows again for free if they are dirty tomorrow from the rain or I didn't do them right.
Many customers are actually pleased that I can clean in the rain.
