Title: Good job?

Does reach and wash make a good job of the sills?
I was telling a customer that I was going to use a pole system and he had talked to people that had their windows cleaned by wfp and it left the sills dirty.
Is this just because that particular window cleaner just never did the sills?

WFP does a perfectly good job of sills, and if you already do a good job of cleaning your customers sills with trad methods, the sills will already be clean to begin with, so keeping them that way isn't a problem.
On new cleans with grubby sills then you do have to put a bit off effort in to get them to come up well, and the higher up you go the harder it is (for obvious reasons)
Once you have got them clean, keeping them that way is no bother at all.

if you take on a new customer with weather stained green sills, in most cases, they will need a PVC clean (at additional cost) to bring back to white. THEN it is easy to keep them clean.
The problem is the initial clean has to be done with cleaner and cloths from the ladder!
A downfall to WFP is achieving an acceptable clean on DIRTY Upvc...in my opinion.

do you keep goose neck on to clean sills i find the goose neck a pain in the arse

Yeh.Adjustable neck is best. Can adjust the angle of the brush to give the sills a good swipe.

Hi Jon found on my first clean it left little red marks on the window sill trying too hard probably. marks came off vikan brush head shame really. did not do fantastic job will have to give polish from ladder then when thats done should be excellent. mind you found doing windows with me unger pole and applicator with a bit of stuff on give it some welly then brush off and rinse witn wfp. not bad results at all v pleased. you must get adjustable neck purfick adjusted mine straight away sorted. ;D ;D ;D

  Pull the red surround off the brush head, it is a strip glued on - takes a bit of pulling off but will rid you of the red mark problems
