Post by: Clever Forum Name on March 25, 2014, 07:33:51 pm

Did I dream it or did someone trim and reduce the weight of one?

I wanna try and lighten my sill brush. Sure someone has done it.

Yes it worked really well. It now weighs 212g with the socket and tubing. I think I removed 100g off if it, there isn't much difference between this and an xtreme, but it feels like there is much more cleaning power.

That's great I will work on one then.

I thought they were 225grams?

Just looked on their website, you are right it says 225g that is without the socket. I'm sure when I first got the brush with the socket on it weighed nearer 300g, the weight of 212g I just quoted was with the brush wet. When it's fully dry it is just about 200g

Just looked at my original topic and I've stared in there it weighd 200g, that is when the brush is dry.

I would have thought 250grams in total. As the socket can't way 75g?

Will have a go anyway with an older one. Cheers

Can you weigh your brush with the socket before you attack it to see what it weighs and let me know.
