Title: Rotary cable

Invariable despite my best intentions the rotary power cable ends up in water.
Wear rubber shoes and use a circuit breaker.
Anyone have any magic tricks to avoid this problem.

Buy work trousers with a velcro loop on them and use that to keep the cable of the floor.

Credit to Kev for that trick. Thats where I heard it first.
