I have just quoted a commercial today and the vibe I got was really odd.
The lady I'm dealing with was over friendly and just ran down the previous firm.
I asked who it was and she said " I Don't think it's fair to say" ok fair enough I said,
Just done a check on them, they are in  Company Status Dissolution, Proposal to strike off.
Obviously the are in a mess so have I have phoned up and told them what I have found out and she went mental.
What dose
Company Status Dissolution  actually mean? a lucky escape I think.

The credit score is shocking, plus she is lying about the windows Bob they haven't been done in donkeys years.
A mate of mine was caught like this done loads of work putting a factory unit's back to a standard to hand back to the landlord and they were going bust and knew it.

I had a big hotel ask me to quote all their windows, refused the job as I knew they were in administration. Took me a year to get my money from a building firm for a similar job, lesson learnt.

If in doubt ask for payment upfront. It shouldn't bother you what financial mess they are in if you have the pound notes in your pocket.
