Title: Keeping 1000L tank free from algae and fungi

Guys is there anything I can put in my 1000L tank sitting outside to keep it free from algae and fungi?

a little bleach or any chemical that wont interfere with the windows?

Cover it with black plastic.

Heavy duty stuff from screw fix is less than a £10

1/4 teaspoon (no more required) of swimming pool chlorine powder.  Do it at the start of a weekend so it has a couple of days in there.  It'll raise your working TDS to 001 if you're unlucky.

thanks for that,  i have already sprayed the tank black but if we have a good summer the algae is going to go mad,  chlorine will kill it.

Don't worry about it the algae wont affect the tds of your water just empty the tank every so
often and power wash with tap water.
