What sort of clamp do you use for that? Looks like it's attached to a Gardiners quick loc.

Also what are you using as a monitor?

Clamped on a normal wfp using this http://grippatank.co.uk/vacuum/high-level-vacuum-poles-kits-spares/survey-camera-kits/3082/gopro-roll-bar-mount-detail.html

Moniter is my iPhone or iPad

The camera has it's own wifi and using the GoPro app I can see what's in the gutters and record

So why are the gopro white so much cheaper than the black?

I know nothing about them but could use one on my cycle rides too.  :)

You get more bang for ya buck with the black.

Wifi
£80 wifi remote.
Mega pixels are higher.
Other stuff as well.

I use a roll bar mount and a Gardiner quick lock angle adapter. I also have a lanyard on it. As simon from concept recommended that.

I use an iPhone or my ipad. The idea was everyone has iPhones at work. So can they use their own :)

Interesting thanks. Are you sucking with the camera attached or do you use a camera pole? Do you mount your iphone to the base of the gutterpole?

I don't do the gutter vac work but you can use it while using the gutter vac as I made an attachment for that as well.

Usually check gutters before and then after. Record if needed.

Last job I was on camera and had my dad on vac. VERY quick way to work!

Bought mine a black 3+ about a month ago and over the moon with it.
Much clearer than others I have used :)

So all you need is a Go Pro white or black, a mount to secure it to a pole and an Ipad/tablet or smart phone with wifi. Is that it? Sorry for being 'uneducated'.

Yeah the camera puts out it's own WIFI.

SO you can even link it to the customers phone lol.

As long as phone has wifi or tablet you are ok.

You get a free APP as well.

I would look at the silver or black. But having used the black I would really recommend the black.

Its important to get a good fast SD card for these cameras. We tried a few but this one works great.

Yes 2/3 seconds but sometimes easier just to record then view the footage back, as I've found out if I'm looking at the live stream on my phone I'm not looking where I'm going!!  ;D

Just remember if you buy one (well the one I bought) it will need to be updated via a computer on the GoPro website  ;)

They take some getting use too but really good fun to use and customers are really impressed with this sort of setup and the fact you can show them the footage  8)

Hi

Slightly off topic

Please can you tell me what vacuum cleaner, piping and generator you use.

Is this equipment carried with you in the van or is it taken to site especially for the job requirement.

We have got to get off ladders for these occassional gutter jobs we get.

Thanks

Morning Spruce

We use this for the piping http://www.omnipole-systems.com/guttervac/OP-Vachose15mx50mm.html

The vac is http://www.omnipole-systems.com/guttervac/OP-GV240Volt.html

Poles and accessories are from here http://grippatank.co.uk/vacuum/high-level-vacuum-poles-kits-spares.html

Not got a Genny yet but will be getting one of these http://www.justgenerators.co.uk/pages/Stephill_6500HM.htm

I was carrying it in the van but quickly stopped that! Equipment only goes in the van when need now.

Thoroughly recommend Stephill genny also. They're local to me, and the set up we use has been faultless.

Looks like he used a Dymo LetraTag with yellow tape. Tape comes in different colours. See YouTube under Dymo LetraTag

I would imagine the file to be too large. You would do far better hosting on a free site like photo bucket and just giving them the link

It sounds a good idea but I think that sometimes we can give a customer too much information.

Some gutters are free running and other's aren't. What does your customer think when he/she sees a video of you cleaning and charging for a virtually clean gutter, even if the gutter on the other side of the house was chock-a-block?

If you do send a copy to a customer, then I would tend to send it of the end result rather than of it actually happening.

But not having this equipment doesn't make me an expert in these matters, its just an opinion.  ;)
