Looks good. I'm trying to work out how it actually works. Before you pick the pole up when it's leaning against the conservatory there's no water flowing through the hose but when you click the hose in place in the lever setup it still isn't flowing. Is there a mechanism somewhere within the pole or have I missed something here? Flummoxed.

Nice one Dave. ;D

He's working from a backpack. If you notice, he kicks the on/off switch to turn the flow 'on'.

Nice one Rich.
Could you set up a 'lock' system, so when you squeeze the trigger it locks (so you can leave the pole unattended)? And then you squeeze it again and it unlocks. Bit like a set of mole grips.
-
one disadvantage, for me anyway, i use a SLX35, dismantled to the sections i need for the day, if i was to reassemble the pole for various jobs i would need to carry a lot of cable ties :D
Also have just purchased two aqua taps..............so im out but good luck i think you will sell a few

I tried using a Brake Pipe Clamp, same principle as the one above but locks-off aswell.....but didn't arf give your hand grip a work-out :(.
One of these things....

The trigger was made as simple as possible just to save a bit of water, in the vid it was connected to van mount , i use normal on off tap (red wing nut type) , once the pole hose is looped and nipped i then stand on the tap to switch it on , from then on i use the trigger as needed , when done i hold the trigger until i go and switch the tap off.
When doing high windows its the same , nip the hose while you lower the pole , a loop is formed sadly , but you can re nip the hose if you want to get rid of the loop .
It basically saves you water from window to window and when lowering the pole or going and shutting the tap off , its an eye opener how much is wasted this way .

big fat bump ;D

Well it's ten out of ten for the quality of the item, you should be proud to have made such a professional job considering it's a prototype.
For me, I foresee a few problems, I'd get real fed up up of looping the hose every time I extended it, I could also see the trigger getting knocked or bashing my hand in tight corners or hard to reach glass, and I don't think the water saving would match the AD
Good effort, hopefully you could sell a few hundred units

Used to use a trigger off a carpet cleaner. It had a small ratchet by which you could leave it in position, therefore negating to constantly hold it in place.

Very like the Unger one that's already on the market? Mass produced in plastic, very light, and locks in the closed position. I don't think they can even give them away. I would look into it before you spend any money on it.

Peter , i bought the unger one !!!!
Utter tat , im only glad the supplier managed not to charge me for it ;D
Mine does work differently though , but i came to see that it wont appeal to enough polers to warrant me persuing it further , thats why i let people see it .
It is a good little tool and cheap to make aswell , i think the model on the clx worked out costing £4 plus my time
So i guess that the only thing for it is let people make their own or maybe knock a few up if anybody wants to try one (for a small fee of course) ;)

What you want to do is make it worth your while, if you do it too cheap you will get fed up making them. I remember years ago someone done that with brushes, made them up and put next to nothing on them for himself. Yes he sold loads but soon got fed up and stopped it. Much better to price realistically from the start.

I still say what I have been saying for the last 12 years, you are never going to beat a device on top of the pole controlling the water from the bottom ;D
-
Mr.H can Mr H have one.???
-
Perhaps 2;-)

I own 2 Aquataps they are very good for 30ft and shorter poles.
For my 47ft extreme with carbon gooseneck they are no good.
This trigger is just what I am looking for, for my 47ft.
Count me in for 1.Could you send me one to try at.
My email : tristanmiddle@yahoo.co.uk
Thanks
Tristan
-
Tristan, have you tried it on the 47 foot pole? or can't you try it because of the carbon gooseneck?
-
I have and it doesn't work for me.
Don't get me wrong it is an excellent piece of kit.
It has saved me a lot in water and time.
I have tried all types of triggers valves remotes and the aquatap is a simple but effective piece of kit.

Here the trigger i use about £22 only broken 2 in 10 years
Use the metal part for connecting hose and the part with black tubing (take off and place with your pole tubbing)
Locked to pole with jubliee clips or even strong ties(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1395601864_trigger.jpg)

Thanks for letting me know, I am not saying it should work for you, just wondering if it did. At they sort of heights everything is more difficult. I never used to supply an Autobrush on anything over 40 foot.
-
Its good, but why doesn't everyone just fold/nip the hose with their hand instead of blowing money on stuff you don't need.
-
Ants why not just rub the window with a cloth like they did years ago?
You don't need a squeegee, an applicator, a water fed pole. If fact your customers don't need clean windows.

Your right Peter, put me down for two of them. ::)roll
