the decisions been made. ;)
quite a few devastating things has happened to my girlfriend and her business in the last few weeks.basically shes been ripped off in a business partnership and it sickens me.ive been getting more angry as the weeks gone on!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
complete scammer and conman and he s threatened violence.i think my girlfriend will just get out of it with only a 5 grand debt.still shes skint and gotta pick herself up and go freelance and pick up the pieces.she ll emerge from this with her head held high as shes been brilliant at her job and not put a foot wrong.
a lot going on at the moment but shes a strong talented woman with a lot of people on her side so ive decided to go after a bit more work so we can have at least a holiday later on in the year and i can help her out financially a bit until she gets on her feet again.
so price rises across virtually my whole round will come into force from next month.ive only lost a couple of customers although i reckon on 2 or 3 more over the course of the next week or so.
actively pushing add on jobs for existing customers over the next 6 months
canvassing large houses that have been sold
leafleting and canvassing near existing work
i dont really need too much extra work but that week off i have most months could be spent working(well 3 days anyway!)
so im looking at adding say another £600 a month during the spring/summer months on top of higher priced regular work and the natural add ons i normally get by customers/people asking me when working.
of course my new van and tank is gonna take a good chunk of money but i should still be able to help her out and book a family holiday for later in the year if i pull my finger out!
your thoughts guys?

i dont live with her! i have my own flat!
im defo going on holiday sometime this year
no way will i take her window cleaning with me or canvassing.i can do that myself.she has her own business to salvage/build up again.
i love posh hotels and restaurants but im gonna put them on the backburner for a while.well at least for another month or two. ;)

What exactly are you worried about though?
£600 a month extra plus working more plus spending less over a year?

im not worried mate but ill be spending 7grand on a new van,signage and tank,helping her out til she gets on her feet AND i want to book a family holiday so gonna go out and get a bit more work! ;) :)

Sounds like that if she is going to get ripped off, then it happened at a good time although really there is no good time to get ripped off but I hope you get what I mean.
Seems to read like the family holiday is the motivating factor. ;D

Sorry to hear that bad news Dazmond , Get her out cleaning i am considering bringing my wife into the business in the next year as she is sick of her current job .
But the ideally she needs start out building a domestic house cleaning service doing peoples housework , Then we can both do windows and house cleaning that is the plan for the future anyway . Mike

i keep business separate from family,friends and girlfriend.
for some people it might work but i prefer to be self motivated and plough my own furrow.
i certainly wouldnt want her coming out on my rounds with me.it would just be plain weird!! ;D

She's got a job. She's an interior designer, she wouldn't want to clean windows, would she? Unless she wanted to get her manicured hands on one of Daz's Xtremes!
It's only money, Daz. You'll get over it. Just don't try to do too much too soon.
At least you've got each other (and she's got her debt ;D).

Same here Daz. My Mrs is a teacher and no matter how busy I got she will never work for me, I much prefer just seeing her in the evenings/weekends, not all day every day.
