From looking on vantrader I think it depends whether it's the 1.9d. Which is 815 or the 2.0 hdi which is 900.....
-
Okay cheers , what would you say one with 30k on the clock well under average mileage well looked after is worth its the 1.9 so 815 £4k?

It would have to be exceptional, but if it is then it's better to pay a bit too much than not enough. The clutch might be worth checking if it's low mileage.
The 1.9 is a bit sluggish but the engine is bullet proof. I think Tosh has one? (or the Pug version)

The 1.9D engine will be fairly reliable but painfully slow, the 2.0 engine would be better.

By the way is there a payload site?
-
no question about it, get the 2.0hdi lovely
-
There is also a 1100kg payload one 1.6? Looks really nice too

I have a 56 plate Dispatch 1.9d Enterprise its 815 k payload
-
Leave it where it is.
Buy a Trafic or vivaro with that type of money.
Much better payload, space and lovely to drive.
or find a new shape pug , fiat citreon

This will be the previous model - payloads as advised by other posters.
The higher payload is associated with the lastest model which came out at the end of 2006/beginning 2007

Thanks for all the replies I'm gona start a new post about which van
All these years I wanted a connect 230 cos I felt it was able to support a 650tank 2 people I have learnt its basically gona be over the limit on payload
So as much as I like it and the look I feel for the same money
Of the connect which was 5,500+vat I could a larger payload van
I don't want to go to big like transit size
I could get something that could really take 650+
Rather then have my favorite connect with an overload

The trouble is 650 litres, tank, frame, 2 hose reels and 2 blokes soon push you over the limit.
If you want this type of system, it has to be a larger Transit, preferrably a T300 or T330. I'm finding a 2 man system with 2 of us very cramped in a SWB Relay van. I would see a 3.5T LWB as an ideal 2 man setup, but second hand most have high mileage and haven't been looked after.
It's business and you have 'put a different cap on' with regard to likes and dislikes. Its not easy to do because we are human. If you are looking for a good location to have a shop that sells to passing foot trade, then you have to find a location where people are who will buy your product, even if it's in a lousy location. Finding a location with a fantastic view but no passing trade won't work.
The same applies to buying business equipment - its what will do the job rather than how good it looks.

Yes very true
Maybe I should look at swb transit sizes
What payload realistically should I be looking at?
