Title: 200 bar 21 lpm or 250 bar 15lpm
Post by: Ian101 on March 15, 2014, 09:11:21 am
Looking around at various options will be doing mainly drives and patios.

Last year did a stint with a gx390 250 / 15lpm which did the job but fancy something a little bit more powerful however most of the 21lpm machines Ive seen inside my budget are 200 bar will these be defeating the point of going for a 21lpm ?

Higher flow will empty your wheelybin quicker so if you have a poor water supply it means stopping & starting.

But I would always go for higher flow above pressure (as long as you have min 3000psi)

The pressure is like speed and the flow is like weight , hit a wall on a pushbike at 20mph or a car at 15mph - what has the most effect ?

I have use of both these machine's 250 bar @ 15 ltrs & 200 bar @ 21ltrs.
If i set both machines up side by side the 200 bar @ 21ltrs machine will knock the socks off the 250 bar machine when doing driveway cleaning, but when roof & wall metal clabbing i need the extra pressure of the 250 bar machine to get the finished product.
When it comes to water flow on the 21ltrs machine you just use a extra water bin to store more water & set up straight away on site before you do anything else if you find a poor water supply.
Thanks

21 ltr pump machine can always be throttled back and fitted with a 45 nozzle to use 15 ltr / min

best way is to throttle the engine back & leave unloader numpty alone.
I get them looked or have k style unloaders fitted to save problems. (need a spanner to alter pressure)

Is the unloader a numpty or its operator and does he looked or someone slightly more technical - I'm impressed, very imformative  ???

So can't a 21 litre a minute machine run at 250 bar? Does the faster flow reduce the pressure? I have a 15 litre a minute honda at 250 bar but it doesn't reach 250 bar really.
