Title: canvassing
Post by: Jay Le Huray on March 15, 2014, 07:27:08 am
on the way home from work on thurs I pulled into a small close consisting of about 9 houses and knocked on all the doors, the result was I picked up 3 new customers there and then

when I got home I had another call (having left flyers) and picked up 1 more job

I went there fri afternoon to clean these 4 and ended up picking up another 1

so out of the 9 houses I gained 5 of them .... not bad for 10 mins walking around the close

this morning im off out again doing 5 new big jobs my canvasser has emailed

my point being .... canvassing works as there is plenty of business outhere to be had

Well done! But whoever says canvassing doesn't work either lacks the necessary people skills or courage to knock doors and talk to people face to face.

Yup, there is work out there, but it is like hidden treasure. It needs a lot of digging and sifting before it is found.

If done right canvassing is the quickest way to build a round but like Johnny said
it takes a certain skill and knowhow to be able to do it.
I work in an area where leaflets don't work so its either canvass or quit.
This helps when trying to dig up the courage to door knock.
