Title: F.A.O any Newbies! Vyair and Gardiners
Post by: David Kent @ KentKleen on March 12, 2014, 08:59:59 pm
I would recommend both of these companies and rate them as excellent.
Ordered water treatment products from both companies yesterday, all products arrived present and correct today.
Excellent immediate results from the 40 inch membrane from Vyair, bringing my tap tds down from 186 to 001. Thank you.

I am sure they do Mike. We need a slightly more productive set up than a 'fish tank filling' sort of arrangement.
I was simply recommending these 2 companies for there level of customer service and speed of delivery.
Very impressed with Vyair, my first dealings with them, very easy to order online AND very helpful when speaking on the phone.

What did you buy out of interest?  Because I was going to buy one of those 450's off Ebay as I'm currently making pure with Twin DI's and the resin is just about done...

It was a 40 inch by 4 inch membrane (4040 membrane) . I am running a Fibredyne pre filter (gardiners) straight into a champ housing with this new membrane. Polished off with twin di vessels holding 25 litres of resin between them. Inlet pressure is boosted by a £10 pump sold off by B&Q a few years ago, increases tap pressure of around 40 psi to 85 psi.
Hope this helps.

No probs Mike, as you know there are loads of systems now out there to treat your water. I think customer service is the key to success!
Oh no what am I saying! Dump them!!!! They dont want them cleaning this month!!  ;D

BEFORE the DI is 001(In my case).Anywhere between 001 and 010 would be acceptable IMO before DI. My 10 year old membrane (G.E industries) was 030 and resin costs where just getting too high hence the change.

Thanks for that Dave my TDS is 30 at present out of my Merlin so am looking at 4040 would be happy to get it below10.  Might go for the Fibredyne filter was going for the traditional 2/3 filters but it seems to work for you
